Building Brand Name Awareness

Fishing has become the latest sports marketing arena for advertisers to showcase their products. More and more TV fishing shows are popping up. ESPN has taken the lead with the Bass pro anglers tournaments and many saltwater series shows such as; Sea Hunter, Spanish Fly and the Go Fisch Team to name a few. One can look at this as NASCAR in its’ infancy.

Forty-four million people over the age of six go fishing. That’s one out of every five Americans. According to the Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association, almost twice as many people fish than play golf. According to the latest numbers anglers spent over $5 billion on equipment, nearly $15 billion on fishing trips, and some $20 billion more on boats, trucks, licenses and other fishing-related products and services. For example, anglers paid $290 million on ice alone! And these impacts are growing.

The latest data regarding tackle retail sales and imports have all shown increases. If sportfishing were a corporation, it would rank above Target, Sears and Johnson & Johnson on the Fortune 500 list of largest American companies. The economic contributions of recreational fishing have grown steadily over the last several decades.

Every day more and more companies are involving themselves (as sponsors) with

Competitive fishing tournaments and some aren’t related to the fishing industry at all. Companies like Citgo, General Motors, Nextel, Toyota, Cialis, Ford Motor Company, Fuji Film, Land O’ Lakes, and Kellogg’s have made a commitment to having representation in fishing tournaments. Because of the popularity of competitive tournament fishing, these and other companies are using tournament trails to help market and promote their products/services.

We have positioned ourselves to provide a platform for these companies to have their products professionally represented and tested. Our boat, tackle and image are always maintained to the highest standards to reflect our commitment to excellence. With our marketing experience we know what our sponsors’ needs are (building brand name awareness).

Our dedication is to brand name awareness and presenting a professional company image to a captive audience. We are invited to trade shows, fishing clinics, meet the team marketing events and many other activities. We also participate in Tagging programs and attend various fisheries meetings to promote angler awareness. Although fishing is the main event, presentation and sponsor recognition to the community are always our number one focus in every outing we attend.
